What do you get when you gather a bunch of French Bulldogs, put them in a doggy park, and set them free? Heaven. Yup, you get Heaven.
Last Saturday, over 30 Frenchies and their obsessed Frenchie parents (myself, included) gathered in Washington Square Park in NYC for a butt-wagging snortfest that lasted til the sun went down. The weather was great, the dogs were smiling ear-to-ear, and the parents were filling every GB of their phones with snapshots and videos to document the entire event.
There was plenty of butt-sniffing.
There were puddles of slobber and drool. Here’s an impressive line of drool from our friend Beans.
There was even a doggy water park! (Well, not really.)
Romeo was finally reunited with his mini-me, Walter Cronkite. Walter is obsessed with his tennis ball, but he put it down for a few seconds to pose with Romeo for this awesome pic. Thanks, buddy.
There were Frenchie tongues eeeeeverywhereeee.
Did I mention there was butt sniffing? A lot of butt sniffing…
And…break time. Just taking it all in.
This is Doudou. He’s only 4 months old, but he still came out to play with all the big kids. We loved him and he had a blast. See you next time buddy.
The event was a success. Find more photos on Instagram under #MurphyAndKarmaTakeNYC. The meetup was organized by the parents of Murphy & Karma—two Instagram favs. They traveled many miles from Baltimore & Boston and managed to get a big chunk of the NY Frenchie population together for an amazing day. In fact, the party was so successful, that it even made the news! Check out the Pix11 story here.
Thank you to everyone who organized the event, to everyone who spread the word, to everyone who showed up, and to everyone who took and shared photos of this unforgettable day. We love all our Frenchie friends. Can’t wait until the next one!
P.S. Romeo slept the entire next day. Zzzzzzzz…
